Stay tuned for more infomation about our Friendship Family Program, Annual Dinner, and volunteer opportunities that we’ll be conductingt in a safe, COVID-friendly way!
Saturday, October 10, ISM will host an outdoor, drive-in-movie-style event to replace last year’s annual dinner. We are thrilled that our featured speaker will still be Concordia Seminary Ph.D. student Jared Magero. Jared, the oldest son of 14 children, is from a small village in faraway Kenya, yet our Lutheran Christian faith is so similar. Join us as he shares how the Holy Spirit worked through his grandmother to bring Jesus to his family and his entire village. Expect to her from us soon regarding this October drive-in event!
ISM would not exist without dedicated volunteers that wish to show Christian hospitality to international students. Eighty-seven percent of all international students who study in the United States never enter an American home while they live in our country. What a missed opportunity!
If you wish to volunteer with ISM, there are many ways to do so:
Every one of these opportunities gives you the chance to share yourself, share your culture, and share your faith with lovely international students who are curious about all things American. Contact us on this site or call 314-452-6406 if you want to learn more.
Join us for a FREE traditional Easter dinner at Village Lutheran Church in Ladue. Bring your family…bring a friend! To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org (and let us know if you need a ride). We hope to see you there!
Come join American and international friends every Tuesday at noon for lunch at Memorial Presbyterian Church near the main campus of Washington University. Lunch is free, so grab your friends and head on over! Check out the Events page and click on Tuesday Lunch in the Calendar for directions to the church.
